Seawolves drop Seasiders at free-throw line
Alaska-Anchorage hit 24 of 24 free throws and dispatched Brigham Young-Hawaii 90-80 in the Glacier Classic basketball tournament last night in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Kemmy Burgess scored 18 points, including eight free throws, to lead the Seawolves (7-3).
The Seasiders (2-2) shot 55 percent from the field and got 27 points from Austin Smylie and 20 points from Paul Peterson.
Brigham Young-Hawaii beat Alaska Fairbanks 76-59 on Friday night as Smylie scored 19 points and Eric Boyce added 15.
Roadrunners topple Sea Warriors
Cal State Bakersfield had four players in double figures in last night's 82-73 victory over Hawaii Pacific in Bakersfield, Calif.
Richard Andrews led the Roadrunners (4-0) with 18 points.
The Sea Warriors (1-5) got 25 points and nine rebounds from forward Joseph Ison.
