The McKinley High School outrigger canoe paddling team practiced yesterday at Ala Moana Beach Park. After swimming and running three times around the park, team members took some time to relax in the water. Among them was Tabol Michael, who floated on his back.

Volunteers from a cooperative of Christian churches served up hundreds of meals to the elderly, needy and homeless in Aala District Park yesterday. Angel Norman received two plates of food with all the Thanksgiving trimmings as he worked his way down the tables serving the hot meals.

Kailee Shiraishi, 8, of Honolulu looked at the Origami Holiday Tree at New York's American Museum of Natural History on Tuesday after the tree was illuminated. The 19-foot-tall tree features a flight theme and is decorated with owls, jays, doves, insects and butterflies in folded paper.
