Jibreel Huntington watched his elders pray yesterday in celebration of the end of Ramadan. The Muslim Association of Hawaii celebrated with a morning gathering of communal prayer, followed by breakfast. The festival of Eid al-Fitr, a major religious holiday for Muslims, will continue tomorrow from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Magic Island.

A surfer salvaged a decent move off the lip on a windy, blown-out day at Kewalo Basin on Wednesday. High winds in the afternoon made a mess of the waves at Point Panic and Kewalos.
