World Festival: Hawaii's Fashion Week
Ala Moana Center's annual celebration of designer style continues through Sunday, with fashion shows; guest makeup artists and designers; introductions of limited-edition handbags, T-shirts and accessories created for the event; product launches; and appearances by Carson Kressley of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and Japanese supermodel Rinka. Neiman Marcus: View the $106,000 Hello Kitty diamond minaudiere by Judith Leiber and Kimora Lee Simmons; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Designer Handbags. The minaudiere features more than 17 carats of white and black diamonds set in 18K white gold, plus more than 200 carats of semi-precious peridots, amethysts and pink sapphires. The bag is also offered in colored crystals at $2,495. On view through Wednesday. Call 948-7343.
Louis Vuitton: Introduces a line of sunglasses in the first showing outside of Paris. The expanded two-level store also will present informal modeling of its ready-to-wear collection, 9 p.m. Free.

Neiman Marcus: Stylists Vu and Liz, from Frederic Fekkai salons in Beverly Hills and New York, will share tips on hair care and styling, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., while performing mini touch-ups in cosmetics (appointments, 948-7390). Repeats 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Sephora: BareMinerals demonstrations, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with an opportunity to meet Leslie Blodgett, CEO of i.d. Bare Escentuals, 3 to 6 p.m. Demonstrations repeat 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, with Blodgett appearing from noon to 2 p.m. Call 944-9797.
