UH-Manoa's Kennedy Theatre reopens after a $170,000 cleanup

After being closed since July 18 due to mold problems, the University of Hawaii's Kennedy Theatre reopened yesterday. Venus Gay Holt celebrated her 100th birthday today by working as a volunteer at Central Union Church's annual plant and yard sale. Born on Lanai in 1905, her secret to longevity is to "be good and be useful."
