Senior Airman John Doughenbaugh lifted girlfriend Victoria Chavez last night on the tarmac at Hickam Air Force Base. Sixty-nine airmen from the 15th Airlift Wing and Pacific Air Forces headquarters returned last night after a five-month deployment to Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries.


TUMBLING FOR DOLLARS

Members of the Tumblers Gymnastics competitive team practiced their handstands yesterday to get ready to raise hundreds of dollars in pledges in the "Handstands for Hope" drive, a benefit for survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Gymnasts of all skill levels and ages from Tumblers Gymnastics did timed handstands to raise the money. See page D4 for more Katrina relief efforts.
