Ikebana luncheon

Ikebana International Chapter 56 is holding a membership meeting Sept. 25 at the Waioli Tea Room in Manoa.

Reservations are required for the 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. luncheon. Cost is $20 and includes an introductory demonstration to the art of "chigiri-e."

Instructor Lily Nakao will show the unique Japanese art form in which pictures are created from hand-torn pieces of colorful washi paper.
