A few options for your weekend

Jason Genegabus

Friday, Sept. 16

"N'Tyce"

10:30 p.m. at Cafe Sistina. Cover: $7. Call 782-1474.

Cafe Sistina has long been a popular venue for under-the-radar after-hours events. These days, the restaurant belongs to Honolulu's lesbian crowd, as "N'Tyce" has built a steady following since its debut last month.

DJs Kuulei and James provide the tunes, and there's free parking after 11 p.m. Call 782-1474 for the hookup on $5 presale tickets.

"MAE"

6:30 p.m. at Pipeline Cafe. Tickets: $25. Call 589-1999.

Billed as one of the most popular bands among Hawaii teens, local promoters Bamp Project present the Hawaii debut of alt-rock quintet MAE this weekend.

Hailing from Virginia, the band released its sophomore album, "The Everglow," back in March. Local rockers Pennylane and mainland favorites Warsaw Poland Bros. will open the all-ages show.

As an added bonus for grown-ups, show your ticket stub at the Wave Waikiki for free admission into the "official" concert afterparty.

Promoters: To get listed on Crawl Space, send an e-mail to jason@starbulletin.com at least one week in advance, or fax 529-4750.
