Help beat hunger in Hawaii

The Hawaii Foodbank and Jamba Juice are staging a "Race for Rice!" -- a month-long campaign to collect 40,000 pounds of rice to feed the hungry in Hawaii.

Besides the good will, there's something in it for contributors: Donate 20 pounds of rice at any Jamba Juice location on Oahu, the Big Island, Maui or Kauai and receive a coupon for a free smoothie.

Collections will continue through September.

Donations will help feed the more than 118,000 needy people statewide.
