The devastation of Hurricane Katrina has moved many organizations to do what they can to ease the pain. These events have been scheduled to raise funds to help the victims:

Today

» "Lost" autograph session: Cast members from the ABC series will sign autographs in exchange for donations of any amount to the American Red Cross, noon to 2 p.m. (line begins forming at 11 a.m.), Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, across from the Tapa Bar. Call 947-7816.

» Hawaii Stars All-Stars: Free benefit concert featuring eight finalists from the 2003-2004 seasons of the "Hawaii Stars" singing competition, 3 to 5 p.m., Ala Moana Centerstage. The Salvation Army will collect cash donations.

All weekend

» VUE Hawaii: Make a donation to the recovery effort and receive a 40 discount on all apparel in the Kahala Mall store.

» Tiki's Grill & Bar: 10 percent of lunch proceeds go to the Red Cross. The restaurant, in the ResortQuest Waikiki Beach hotel, also will accept donations. Call 923-8454.

Tomorrow

» Filipino Community Center rally: Will be broadcast on KNDI radio, 12:30 to 6 p.m. Pledges will be taken by phone, 838-1798, or drive-through donations will be taken at the center, 94-428 Mokuola St., Waipahu.

» Collective Soul: A portion of proceeds from the band's concert at Pipeline Cafe at 4:30 p.m. will go to Share Our Strength to rebuild foodbanks in affected areas. Tickets are $35 advance, $40 at door, $130 for VIP seating. Call 589-1999 or 896-4845.

Tuesday

» Spago: Wolfgang Puck restaurants nationwide will donate 10 percent of sales to the American Red Cross and will collect additional donations. Spago is at the Four Seasons, Maui. Call (808) 874-8000.

Wednesday

» Jimi Hendrix Day: Donations will be taken for the Salvation Army's Katrina relief efforts at the 6 p.m. screening of the DVD "Jimi Hendrix: Live at Woodstock" at Pipeline Cafe. Passes for the screening are being given away on KPOI-FM, sponsor of the event. Canned goods also will be collected for the Hawaii Foodbank.

Thursday

» Radio-thon: On-air personalities and sales staff from stations in the Pacific Radio Group will collect donations at Starbucks locations on Maui for the American Red Cross Maui Chapter, from 6 to 9 a.m.

» O Lounge: The first anniversary party has been turned into a benefit, featuring entertainment and food from 5 p.m. to midnight. Suggested donation is $20. Call 944-8436.

Sept. 16-17

» St. Andrew's: "A Night in Old New Orleans" features food and live music at St. Andrew's Cathedral, starting at 5:30 p.m. each day. All of the $25 ticket price goes to Katrina relief, via Episcopal Relief and Development. Call 753-6578 or 524-2822.

Sept. 19

» Chefs for Hope: Nine restaurants will serve up their specialties to benefit the Salvation Army Katrina Relief Fund, 6 to 9 p.m. at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Tickets are $150, with corporate tables for $5,000 and $10,000. Tickets are available at Chai's Island Bistro. Call 585-0011.
