UH basketball team

Leilani Galdones has given a verbal commitment to play for the University of Hawaii.
The 5-foot-6 senior guard guided Kamehameha-Hawaii to the Division II state basketball championship last season. The All-Big Island Interscholastic Federation first-team selection was also a standout with the Big Island All-Stars team, coached by Honokaa's Daphne Honma. That team was 12-6 in three West Coast tournaments this summer.
She also attracted attention from Cal State Northridge and Idaho State.

Crusaders to rally: The Saint Louis Alumni Association will host a pep rally at its clubhouse tomorrow.
The event begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the school and alumni.
The event will include Davis High School (Utah), Saint Louis' opponent for the HHSAA Foundation Football Classic. Saint Louis meets Davis, and Punahou plays Timpview (Utah) in the doubleheader on Saturday at Aloha Stadium.
Pre-sale tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students.
