The Okinawan Festival was held over the weekend at Kapiolani Park, which meant it was time to serve up a traditional treat, hot and fresh andagi, to eager festival attendees. Above, andagi dough squeezed through Matty Murakawa's hands with ease yesterday as he prepared another batch inside the Ginoza Okinawan Club's andagi tent.

Several groups also staged performances throughout the day. Above, Ashley Goto, left, and Kristin Sao watched as Junko Bridgeo, director of the Sosakudaiko Ryukyu Yuihana, made adjustments to her daughter Chelsea's headband prior to the group's performance.
