Debbie Leong waited on customers Kalani Kea and Rob Escuadro yesterday at Leong's Hawaiian Food and Cafe in Kalihi during the restaurant's final day of service. The family-run restaurant had been serving local grinds since 1950 and has closed its location at Owen and North King streets chiefly because of parking limitations. Kea and Escuadro drove from Waianae for their last meal at the restaurant. When asked how long they had been dining there, Kea answered, "Since baby time. Sad to see it go."
