LISTEN UP
Telling stories on the radioStorytelling activist Jeff Gere has started a weekly radio show, " Talk Story Radio!" airing at 5:30 p.m. Mondays on Hawaii Public Radio's KIPO (89.3FM). The half-hour storytelling session featuring tales of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim, involving some 75 tellers and more than 1,100 stories.Gere, drama specialist in the city's Department of Parks and Recreation, is getting musical and technical help from Kelli Heath. Tonight, listen for "Holua Sledding" with Nyla Cing-Fujii, Kathy Collins and Makia Malo. Next Monday it'll be "Forgiveness" with Gere, Sandra MacLees, Steven Rosenthal, Reggae McGowen and Willow Chang.
