CRIB NOTES
Daily dose of salt crystal lightLamps made from natural crystal more than 250 million years old mined from the foothills of the Himalayans have arrived at Sedona, much to the delight of store owner Malia Johnson, who has received several requests from customers to bring the lamps in.Salt crystal lamps are natural negative-ion generators, Johnson said. Heat from the bulb releases healthful negative ions from the crystal that help improve air quality and aid in allergy relief, air purification and odor control. Placed in an office, it can reduce electromagnetic pollution emitted from computers and the like that result in fatigue. "Salt is universal, and many cultures are aware of its healing quality, especially Hawaiian culture," Johnson said. "It's very spiritual." Besides, the lamps provide a warm peachy glow and relaxing ambience. Call Sedona for more information at 591-8010.
