Dancer’s voice
is in ‘Stitch 2’

Kumu hula Kunewa Mook is the voice of Kumu in Disney's "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" straight-to-video feature that's being released on Aug. 30. Mook also wrote the song "He Makana Ke Aloha (A Gift of Love)" and was music consultant for the animated feature.

Mook was not among the invited voice actors at Monday's press junket for the DVD at the Turtle Bay Resort. The song "Always" was translated into Hawaiian by Dennis Kamakahi and performed by Dennis and his son David Kamakahi and kumu Mark Kealii Hoomalu, who co-wrote the original film's premiere song "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride"...

ABC's "Wife Swap" is looking to cast a Hawaiian family on the show for its second season. The show's premise: one parent from each household swaps places for 10 days to experience how another family lives. Families must consist of two parents, at least two children over the age of 5 and living at home. Participating families get $20,000. The premiere episode of the second season of "Lost" will be shown at a special "Sunset on the Beach" in Waikiki at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, a week before the show airs nationally. Red carpet cast arrivals begin at 5:30. The hit series will use a full-time second-unit photography group during shooting of the new season ...

Brian Keaulana has been approached to be consultant on the 22-episode series "Boarding School," with hopes for filming on Oahu next month. The waterman has some 10 months of work on "Fear Factor" in California as member of Stunts Unlimited. He's also co-stunt coordinator on "Lost" and will work on Samuel L. Jackson's film on Oahu at month's end ...

Hanalei Bay is being favored as a location for the big opening wedding scene in Universal Pictures' "You, Me, and Dupree" starring Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson, shooting in October ...

Maui-based publicist Blaise Noto will teach "Principles of Entertainment Marketing & Publicity" from Sept. 6 to Oct. 4 evenings in the Laulima Building, room 225, at Maui Community College.
