It all starts tomorrow night with "Apes-t: When Dopeness Attacks," a combination of music and art. The Right Honorable Gentlemen headline things on the music side, with MC Enemy and DJs Kause and Missy also on hand.

Art fans will want to check out the limited edition posters by Joseph Pa'ahana, or stick around to watch Mike Harrison and Joel Alvarez paint throughout the party. The Nuu'ui Samoan and Human Achievement round out tomorrow's roster of artists.

Cover for this 21-and-over party is $10; visit www.whoisnextdoor.com for more info. And stay tuned -- Interpol's Carlos D and DJ Doc Martin will visit Next Door in August ...

CAN'T MAKE it to Pipeline Cafe tonight for the "Power to the Peaceful Tour" with Don Carlos? Saturday's "Reggae at the Tower" will feature some of the same opening acts, with Prezident Brown as a special guest.

Kapono's will host things on Saturday, with DJ Zacharijah getting the crowd warmed up and Kealoha presenting some of his slam poetry. Sahra Indio, Hot Rain, Brother Sun, Radha Bliss and the North Shore Dance Project will also perform.

Tickets are $15 for this 21-and-over concert; call 536-2100 ...

AND ON Sunday, head out to the North Shore for an exciting day of polo, followed by the music of John Cruz.

The popular singer/songwriter will play at 5 p.m. or so, following the completion of the day's matches. A tribute to the late Al Lopaka is also planned.

Gates open at the Mokuleia Polo Fields at 11 a.m., with the first match getting started at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each; call 637-8401 ...

I'M TAKING another couple of days off next week for my birthday -- but I'll be at Pipeline on Thursday for the Redman concert if anyone wants to buy me a drink ...
