A taste of jazzGuitarist Jeff Richman will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the Honolulu Club's lounge, 932 Ward Ave., seventh floor.Richman has performed, taught and recorded throughout the United States, Europe, Japan and Brazil as a soloist and with such notable jazz musicians as Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Jimmy Haslip, Russ Ferrante, Larry Goldings and Danny Gottlieb. Bassist Dean Taba and drummer Noel Okimoto will perform with Richman, who recently produced a trio of tribute albums to fusion masters Miles Davis, John McLaughlin and Weather Report. Free concerts setBest Buy will host the grand opening of its first store in Hawaii, at 478 Alakawa St. in Iwilei, with three days of music beginning Friday morning.Festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. with a performance by Aunty Genoa Keawe followed by a Hawaiian blessing by Kahu David Kaupu at 10 a.m. and the presentation of a $10,000 check to the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii.
