Synopsis: A 19th century article suggesting the creation of cooperatives, with an example of how it was done in England.

Aloha mai e nä makamaka heluhelu o Kauakükalahale, eia mai kahi mo'olelo nüpepa i pa'i 'ia ma ka nüpepa "Ka Oiaio" ma ka lä 24 o Mei i ka makahiki 1889. He küpono paha ke hana 'ia këia hana ho'ohuihui i këia manawa, a ke hana 'ia nei nö paha ma 'ö a ma 'ane'i o ka 'äina i këia manawa, 'oiai, ua pau ka nui o ka 'äina i ka lilo i ke kölea, a eia läkou ke ho'opukapuka nei, a ku'aku'ai nei i ka 'äina.
