Robert Hashida stood at attention yesterday during taps at a Punchbowl cemetery ceremony for the 55th anniversary of the Korean War. Hashida served in the Marines and is part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 10276.

Tia Castro was pulled out of a pool yesterday after being dunked during the Honolulu Gay Pride Parade and Festival. The event celebrated the gay and lesbian community with a float parade, food, entertainment, booths and more at Ala Moana Beach Park and the McCoy Pavilion.
