HE'S HAPPY!: Kala'i Miller was a perfect emcee Monday evening when Philana Bouvier, right, presented "The Vanity Affaire," at the Diamond Head Grill. Briana Spagnuolo, left, helped Bouvier produce the lingerie fashion show for Lulu Lackey, second from left. Make-up maven Cheryl Bunag, fourth from left, introduced her new line of Fixx Cosmetics. Miller's occasional ad libs while introducing the models and their attire provided a light but tasteful touch to the show.

LATOYA'S WAIKIKI WEEKEND: American Idol finalist LaToya London, left, enjoyed a quiet Sunday afternoon in Waikiki with her mother, Vivian Morse. London was in town for two shows at the 50th State Fair. After performing Sunday night, she flew back to California to shoot the first video for her album, "Love & Life." Although the album will be released in September, fans should be hearing her CD-single, "Appreciate," soon.

SMITTY COMES TO HAWAII KAI: Braddah Smitty, left, got solid musical support from Elmer "Sonny" Lim and Steve Bess on Sunday as he celebrated the release of his current album, "Only You," at the Kona Brewing Company in Hawaii Kai. Smitty, a Big Island resident, had released the album in mid-February, but Father's Day seemed like a good time for a party on Oahu.

FRANK DOES DOT'S: Patti Adolphson met Frank DeLima as he was preparing for his Father's Day Show at Dot's in Wahiawa. Sumotori Lolobono and a comic impression of Mufi Hannemann were two highlights, but DeLima also did a great job improvising with members of the audience.

"DO I LOOK LIKE A MURDERER?": Thomas Burling, right, was interrogated Saturday night by Kathy and Matt Price as the Murder Mystery Players opened "Murder, I Do" at Dave & Buster's. Burling plays one of the suspects in the dinner theater production. The next performance is at 7 p.m. tomorrow. Call 589-2215.
