Okino, Takenouchi in match-play final

Cyd Okino attempted to become the youngest match-play champion in Hawaii State Women's Golf Association history today when taking on Shelcie Takenouchi in the 18-hole final at Oahu Country Club. They were to tee off at 8 a.m.

Yesterday, Okina defeated Kayla Morinaga of Waipahu 1-up. In the other semifinal, recent Kauai High graduate Takenouchi upset second-seeded and last year's runner-up Bobbi Kokx 1-up.
