The 40-city tour begins Friday in Idaho, celebrating the duo's reunion CD, "Sittin' in Again."
Hawaii performances will be Oct. 6 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and Oct. 7 at the Blaisdell Arena.
During the first half of the 1970s, Loggins & Messina was a constant radio presence with hits such "Your Mama Don't Dance," "House at Pooh Corner" and "Danny's Song."
The two parted ways in 1976 to begin solo careers. Loggins scored megahits with "Whenever I Call You 'Friend' " (recorded with Stevie Nicks) and the theme from "Caddyshack," "I'm Alright."
Loggins also released several successful albums and contributed to movie soundtracks, most notably the hit title song to 1984's "Footloose."
Messina recorded several solo albums, including "Oasis" (1979), "Messina" (1981), "One More Mile" (1983) and "Watching the River Run" (1996).
He also reunited with Poco, the country-rock band he helped form in the late '60s, for the 1989 album "Legacy." And he established the Songwriters' Performance Workshop in January 1996.
The tour's songlist will feature the duo's hits, as well as some solo material.
Ticket prices for the Hawaii shows have not yet been determined.
