State will auction off
seized items on Saturday

The state Department of Attorney General will hold a public auction Saturday of property forfeited by the state.

Property to be sold includes a 2003 Mercedes E320, a 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible, a 1997 Acura Integra, a 1990 Toyota 4Runner, a 1989 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a 1985 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a Yamaha Banshee ATV and other vehicles, plus stereo equipment, tools and jewelry.

The property may be inspected by the public starting at 11 a.m. The auction will start at noon.

The auction is a result of efforts by state and county law enforcement agencies to fight crime by seizing and forfeiting assets used or acquired in connection with criminal activities. Assets that were used in, or obtained from, the commission of certain criminal offenses can be seized and forfeited under the state's asset-forfeiture law.

Proceeds from this auction will be used by law enforcement agencies to combat crime.

A list of items to be auctioned off is available at www.rosenauctions.com.
