Always repping for Hawaii's underground hip-hop scene, DJ Kavet the Catalyst (below) presents an all-ages show Friday at Living Stone Cafe in Pearl Kai Shopping Center.

Headlining the party is Junk Science, comprised of MC Baje One and DJ Snafu. The duo recently won Scion's "Nextup Emcee" contest. Local crew Nomasterbacks will also perform.

It's the second Saturday of June, which means it's time for another installment of the Sisters in Sound's monthly "SWEET!" party.

Besides the turntable antics of SIS resident DJs Chia, Marloca, Toki and Ms. Angel, Freeform Sound Collective's DJ K-ING will also turn in a guest set during the evening.

Kai is located at 1427 Makaloa Street, across from the new Wal-Mart store on Keeaumoku. One added bonus for checking out this party is that free valet parking is available all night!
