Hawaiian Airlines held a company meeting and news conference yesterday to mark its emergence from bankruptcy after 26 months in reorganization. Outgoing trustee Joshua Gotbaum, right, and new CEO Mark Dunkerley, in blue, joined airline employees in a blessing and prayer for unity. The company had hoped to officially exit bankruptcy yesterday, but a technicality over financing documentation is setting that back a day or two. See story.

A surfer took off on a wave at Kewalo's on Tuesday despite less-than-ideal conditions that generated small surf along Oahu's South Shore. A southwest swell, though, could arrive late today and peak this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
