Honoring our
fearless women

THE YWCA of Oahu will present "Strong Alone, Fearless Together -- YWCA Honors Hawaii Women Leaders of 2005," a documentary airing from 9:30 p.m. tonight on KHON/Fox, highlighting the inspiring stories of four of Hawaii's extraordinary women leaders.

Emme Tomimbang and Vicky Cayetano will co-host the TV special about the YWCA, honoring Christine Camp Friedman, managing director and principal of Avalon Development Co., LLC; Tyrie Jenkins, ophth- almologic surgeon and leading LASIK eye surgeon; Carol Ai May, vice president of City Mill; and Brigadier Gen. Coral Wong Pietsch, Chief Judge Advocate for the U.S. Army.

All four are leaders in their field, who also make time for community outreach and volunteer programs.

The YWCA prepares and supports women as leaders in their careers and within their communities. The show's theme, "Strong Alone, Fearless Together," is part of YWCA's new national campaign to join forces and focus on the needs of women and girls today.
