Construction along Lewers Street in Waikiki, as seen yesterday, already has given the neighborhood a new look. Work on Outrigger Enterprises' $460 million, 7.9-acre Waikiki Beach Walk redevelopment project started last month, with completion anticipated in late 2006. When the project is completed, five low- to mid-rise hotels and retail space will be replaced with a single high-rise tower, open space, an entertainment and shopping complex and a 240-stall parking garage.
