Police arrested the owner of a Honolulu learning center who allegedly struck a 13-year-old boy because he did not do his homework and got bad grades.
Police said the suspect, 37, struck the victim several times with a metal broomstick on March 12 after the victim got a "bad" report card at his regular school.
The victim suffered severe bruising to his buttocks and hamstring, according to police.
Police arrested the suspect at 8:30 a.m. Sunday for investigation of second-degree assault.
He was later released pending an investigation.
