Rainbow Wahine edge Spartans

Uchima reached base on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on Denise Dahlberg's single. Gould then hit a pitch by Carol Forbes to left field to bring home Uchima.

The Spartans led 1-0 after the second inning when Kristy Ballinger hit a solo home run. The Rainbow Wahine tied the game in the bottom of the seventh when Gould doubled to right field and scored on Tyleen Tausaga's single to center.

Gould and Tara Harbert both went 2-for-3 to lead the Rainbow Wahine. Jana Arde was 2-4 to lead San Jose State.

Melissa Coogan pitched a complete game for Hawaii, striking out four while giving up just four hits.
