Poetry, music and light"Music of the Spheres" will be heard at the planetarium at Windward Community College tomorrow. Part of the North South East West Festival, the presentation in the school's state-of-the-art Imaginarium will include "A Remembrance of Miracles," based on the poetry of e.e. cummings; Robert Wehrman "Cosmo's Overture"; and "Poème Électronique," by Edgar Varèse.Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. event, available at the door, are $5. World music for the askingThe Hilton Hawaiian Village is holding a free Village Arts Celebration this weekend, featuring an international array of music, from jazz to Irish pub music to belly dancing.Groups including the Galliard String Quartet, Honolulu Jazz Quartet and Doolin Rakes, a Celtic group, will perform tomorrow and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Tapa Stage and noon to 3 p.m. at the Rainbow Bazaar.
Ballet students star in showThe School of Hawaii State Ballet presents its annual school concert at 2 and 6 p.m. tomorrow at Mamiya Theatre on the Saint Louis School campus.The production will feature dancers as young as age 4, up to advanced performers. They are directed by John Landovsky and Georgina Surles. Tickets are $15, available at the door an hour before each performance. To purchase by phone, call 947-2755.
