Friday, May 6"Selecta's Choice," 9 p.m. at Bliss Nightclub. Cover: $5. 18+A new reggae weekly gets started at Bliss Nightclub this week. Pacific Sounds Outernational presents "Selecta's Choice," with DJs Liloa, Jahson the 45 Revolver and Zacharijah in the mix. Hosting the fun is Jamaica-born Ruff Scott, who now calls Brooklyn, N.Y., home. Here's the plan: Start at Don Ho's with Red Degree, make the move to Bliss and finish up the night with some dancehall in Pipeline's Climaxxx Lounge. Good times!
Saturday, May 7Jeff Rasmussen and John Cruz, 9 p.m. at Lisa's House. Free. 21+Take the time to search out Lisa's House on Ualena Street this weekend, and you'll be rewarded with quality live music. Fresh off a trip to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and a recent gig at Jack Johnson's Kokua Festival, John Cruz (above) returns home for a one-time gig with Jeff Rasmussen. The two are scheduled to play until midnight, but our guess is the hana hou's will keep them going until last call.
Promoters: To get listed on Crawl Space, send an e-mail to jason@starbulletin.com at least one week in advance, or fax 529-4750.
