THERE'S a lot of happiness coming to town. Leeann and Katie Chin, the mother-daughter hosts of the Chinese cooking show "Double Happiness" and owners of Double Happiness Catering in Los Angeles, is mixing business with pleasure. The duo is in town for a series of appearances to help Sub-Zero/ Wolf Showroom celebrate its first anniversary next month.

But, before getting down to business, Katie and fiancé Matthew Jonas will be tying the knot on April 30 at Ko 'Olina. Congratulations! ... And for those who don't know, the first 13 episodes of "Double Happiness," which airs on PBS, were produced locally by Melanie Kosaka of First Daughter Mediaworks ... Speaking of PBS, viewers can look forward to a documentary about Hawaii's ali'i trusts since the Office of Hawaiian Affairs recently awarded PBS Hawaii a $121,250 grant. According to a press release from PBS Hawaii, "Between 1859 and 1908, five trusts were established by Queen Emma, King Lunalilo, Bernice Pauahi Bishop, Queen Kapiolani and Queen Liliuokalani -- to serve different purposes ... today, well over 100 years since its inception, all of the five trusts have survived intact." The documentary is scheduled to be completed in a year. ...

More kudos to Pennsylvania-based SunGard SCT. While in town for a conference at the Hawaii Convention Center, the national software company donated $12,100 to Aloha Harvest, a non-profit organization that collects donated perishable food and distributes it to Oahu's needy. ...

Looking for something to do on May Day? The Honolulu Boy Choir is offering a concert and dinner show at Don Ho's Island Grill. Emceed by Al Waterson, tickets for the evening are $25. For reservations, call 528-0807. ... And, if you can't get enough of the boys, the choir will host its annual fund-raiser on May 23 at the Mamiya Theatre. "I Have A Dream" will feature a silent auction, heavy pupu, entertainment and guests Ale'a, Danny Kaleikini and Vaihi. Tickets are $50. Call 596-SING.
