HAWAIIAN LIFE
IN THE UNIVERSE

Valerie Moss and her children, Lian and Logan Moss, found what they believe to be a retail gift shop last summer during their visit to Bali. "We walked past (the store) and immediately thought of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin," Valerie Moss said. "We dodged speeding motorcycles and mo-peds to cross the street and take this photo."

Evelyn Arakaki found this sign while on a city tour of Tallin, Estonia (former USSR), in 2003. The sign, of a sporting goods company, was found on the side of a building near a recreational small-boat harbor.

"The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe" is just that: We're looking for evidence of Hawaiiana everywhere but Hawaii. Send snapshots and a description to TSFSOHLITU, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, 500 Ala Moana, Suite 7-210, Honolulu, HI 96813; or e-mail JPEGs or TIFFs to HiLife@starbulletin.com.
