Gentry to preview new homes in Ewa

Gentry Homes will open for viewing its two newest neighborhoods in Ewa on Saturday ahead of sales for homes in the planned communities.

Gentry will offer for sale 138 two-story, three-bedroom, fee-simple homes in its Montecito neighborhood with prices from slightly more than $300,000 to $400,000. It will also offer 102 homes in its Tuscany neighborhood starting in the high $300,000 range. The homes' floor plans vary, with up to five bedrooms and 1,522 square feet.

A lottery for the homes will be held May 7. The first homes are scheduled to be ready for occupancy in June. For more information, call 447-8415.

AssistGuide makes pitch for funds

Local information technology company AssistGuide Inc. was among several firms that made pitches for money yesterday in Kansas City, Mo.,at the 2005 InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum.

Some 30 companies from 13 states were picked from more than 80 firms to make presentations. Since the first forum in May 2000, presenting companies have raised more than $200 million, according to a press release.
