Kick in the okole» Ford IslandEntering the Navy brig, off-duty Lt. Basel Zakly Faris, USMC, Fatima bin Laden and a terrorist Baz knew only as Aafiya found Ensign Leinaala Smashowicz unconscious and slumped over the sign-in desk. "Allah be praised," Baz said, really meaning it: "My secret friend was successful." He pointed to a canister of insect spray bomb near her feet. Baz led them inside and found Capt. Hernandez and Ensign Jones similarly incapacitated. The security monitor showed a looped tape of Ensign Leinaala Smashowicz signing in a visitor, of Capt. Hernandez and Ensign Jones at their terminals. "Brilliant," Aafiya whispered. "Let's go get Osama's friend." Muhammed Resurreccion, who'd been held here since his attempt to blow up the USS Arizona Memorial was foiled. Using his keys, Baz led them past another locked door, into the heart of the brig. "Who is this friend, Baz?" Fatima asked as they hurried past cells. He held his finger to his lips, glanced at the imprisoned sailors. One more key, one more heavy metal door swung open. Stepping through it, through the bars they saw Muhammed Resurreccion looking up at them from a prayer mat on the concrete floor, irons on his ankles and wrists. Another key, the door swung open. "Hurry, soldier of Islam," Aafiya said, "hurry back to jihad." She stepped into the cell and leaned down to help him to his feet. Fatima kicked her sharply in the okole and sent her tumbling into the cell. Aafiya rolled to her feet just as Baz slammed the door behind her. "Bastard apostate!" she screamed at Fatima as the two ensigns and Capt. Hernandez appeared, grinning. "You think it's funny? Laugh at this!" Aafiya speed-dialed the number for death and an instant later the brig exploded with a tremendous explosion that rocked the whole island -- blowing a hole in a wall on the far side of the brig near the cell where Muhammed had been held until an hour ago. Thus was the first member of the Khomeini Sharia Unification Movement for Preaching and Combat arrested. The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force had previously ordered multiple agents to follow a second member, Saleem, when he left Blaisdell Park. From there he drove to Keehi Lagoon Park, where he was met by two men who came in separate vehicles. They gathered in a white van, and in what looked like a scene out of "Alexander," waves of law enforcement and military personnel surrounded them and watched with mixed feelings as they blew the van and themselves all the way to hell. The fifth and final member, without weapons or comrades, returned to Saudi Arabia, where he was beheaded for failing Islam.
