Capina was the only man at the party who wore a formal barong tagalog shirt instead of an aloha shirt or other casual attire. Green was covering the event with KQMQ's Justin Cruz and a camera crew on behalf of Mabuhay Television.

TWO LEGENDS: Byron Yasui, left, talked jazz with Noel Okimoto before Okimoto's "Ohana" concert at Mamiya Theatre on Saturday. Yasui, an accomplished bassist, said he was there on "a busman's holiday" to watch drummer Okimoto play with saxophonist Allen Won, guitarist Jamie Fox and bassist Dean Taba.

SENSEI AND SUPERSTAR: Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro, right, congratulated Roy Sakuma on the turnout for Noel Okimoto's "Ohana" concert. Sakuma produced the concert to showcase Okimoto's talents as a world-class jazz drummer and percussionist. He was Shimabukuro's sensei (teacher) years ago.
