Last-minute federal income tax filers took advantage of curbside service at the Downtown Post Office on Merchant Street last night so they could receive an April 15 postmark before the midnight filing deadline. Among the people driving up was James Kawana, who handed off his tax return to post office employee Paula Antoque around 8 p.m.

Tada, who became a quadriplegic in her teens after a diving accident, has since learned to paint with a brush between her teeth, and her paintings and prints are sought after around the world.
