Flying punch makes
Vitale a living legend

It was a punch you had to see to believe. Former University of Hawaii football star Falaniko Vitale solidified his place as a local mixed martial arts legend on Saturday, when he knocked out Masanori Suda with a flying right cross to win the Super Brawl World Middleweight Championship.

Vitale was completely airborne when he connected with Suda's jaw, sending the Japanese fighter crumbling to the canvas. Friends and family stormed the ring afterward, hoisting Vitale onto their shoulders as the Blaisdell crowd chanted his name.

TICKET INFO is still kind of sketchy, but The Wailers are scheduled to play at Andrews Amphitheater on May 4 with Ooklah the Moc ... Looks like the popular "Broke Dik Mondays" will soldier on ... After a surprise appearance at Pipeline Cafe on Friday, Tori Alamaze drew a good crowd Saturday at the O Lounge. But why was the lovely Elana Chong there, turning guys' heads while sipping on a Bud Light instead of something more expensive? Because she works for the beer company, that's why ...

AND CONGRATS to Kutmaster Spaz and the gang from "Dis-N-Dat." The local show signed a sketch comedy deal with a cable channel that gets them featured during "Popcorn Zen," airing tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. on digital channel 118 ...
