» The Marathon Group has appointed Cheryl Soon HT&T Truck Center chief operating officer. Before joining the company, she served as the City and County of Honolulu's department of transportation services director.

» Elyte Pacific Services has named John A. Sutton president. He is a local entrepreneur, investor and accountant, and is a major stockholder and board member at Starr Seigle Communications.

» Territorial Savings Bank has appointed Robert Costa the branch administration department vice president. He will be responsible for the operation of the company's 20 branches. He has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry.

» Aston Hotels & Resorts Hawaii has hired and promoted several employees.

Charlotte Caster has been appointed general manager at Aston Coconut Plaza Hotel on Oahu. She previously served as general manager at the Waikiki Grand, Honolulu Prince and Coral Reef Hotels. Caster has been with the company for 12 years and has held positions on Maui and Kauai as well as in Bali, Indonesia.

Liz Hodson has been appointed to assistant food and beverage manager at Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. Her career has been in the food and beverage industry in Waikiki.

Kalei Lyman has been promoted to rooms division manager at the Waikoloa Colony Villas on the Big Island. He joined the company in 2000 at the Aston Waikiki Beachside and was later promoted to front-office manager at the Waikiki Joy Hotel.

Kathleen "Kat" Virgino has been promoted to rooms division manager at the Mahana at Kaanapali on Maui. She started as an administrative assistant in 2000 and has worked in the front office and reservations departments.

Carolyn Flores has been named the new executive housekeeper at the Aston at Papakea Resort on Maui. She previously worked as the assistant executive housekeeper of Kapalua Villas and executive housekeeper of Maui Eldorado.

Ellsworth Kalawaia has been hired as chief engineer at the Aston Kaanapali Shores on Maui. A native of Maui and a Lahainaluna graduate, Kalawaia returns home after nine years as the facilities manager at Washington University in St. Louis.

Terry "Leomana" Crozier has been promoted to front-office manager at Aston Maui Lu Resort. Previously he held the position of front-desk clerk for three years.

» Hilton Waikoloa Village has appointed John Crocker project manager. He will be responsible for on-time execution and completion of hotel improvement projects. He previously worked for Mary Charles & Associates.

» Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa has appointed Andrew Yagami chef at the Village Steak & Seafood Restaurant. He previously worked for the Beverly Hills Hotel for five years. Chi Chih Paul Chang has been appointed manager of the hotel's Rainbow Lanai restaurant. He will be responsible for overseeing the operations at the restaurant.

» Kapalua Bay Hotel has appointed Hiroshi Nishizawa as executive chef. He relocated to Hawaii from Japan, where he was executive sous chef at the Swissotel Nankai Osaka. He has more than 31 years of culinary experience. He will oversee two restaurants, the Gardenia Court and the Plumeria Terrace, and supervise the hotel kitchen outlets, banquet and special catering facilities and room service.
