American Revolution 2

Saleem and Aafiya, two of the five members of the Khomeini Sharia Unification Movement for Preaching and Combat currently in Honolulu, had instructed Fatima bin Laden on how to approach asking the really big question of Lt. Basel Zakly Faris, USMC. It was a sunny, breezy day, so Fatima and Baz sat on the lanai outside the cafeteria.

And when he replied "Our ultimate destiny? I think I'd like to hear more," they gave the sign to proceed cautiously.

"Our qadar," she said, using the Arabic word, "is for Islam to be the world's faith. All the world, including America. What a great country this could be then."

Baz thought America was pretty great right now, but he held his tongue. He was a Marine, trained as a cop, including interrogation techniques. This was a time for passive interrogation. Let her talk freely.

He took a sip of coffee, leaned forward. "Tell me more of your vision."

"It is inevitable, Baz, and it is for the good of America and of the world, including my country, the Philippines. (He knew her as Fatima San Marcos, a simple Filipina from Davao.) In America, Hollywood turns out music and films and TV that have served as a model of violence and sexuality for American youth. How much better would Americans be under the rule of Sharia (Islamic law), where daughters and sons alike grow up chaste and worshipping God?

All of the Americans who voted for Bush because of 'family values'? Surely they will see that no faith promotes more family values than Islam, providing for the protection of children and widows. Even the liberal feminists, when they see Islam promotes women's rights, in terms of education and finance, and even in the marital bedroom... "

She paused, Baz felt the passion that could be his as her husband, felt his pulse quicken.

"But beyond that, Baz, it is the way of the world. No government lasts forever. Religions migrate. Buddhism began in India, but today you can hardly find a Buddhist in most of India. And what is wrong with bringing Islam to the world. Before us, didn't Britain, actually all of colonizing Europe, and later America try to turn the world into English-speaking Christian capitalists? Or French- or Spanish- or Dutch- or Portuguese- speaking. Yes, of course, they did, as America continues to attempt in Iraq.

"Now, the world is turning in the other direction, Baz. It is our time to bring the true faith of Allah, bless his name, and his sacred language of Arabic to the world. Just as the native tribes and their languages were wiped out in America and Canada by Christian soldiers, even here in Hawaii, and by the Catholic Spanish south of your so-called border, now it is time for the good soldiers of Islam to carry their faith onward.

"It is time for the second American Revolution, the Islamic version."
