"Fever Pitch": Thanks to the Boston Red Sox's World Series win last year, after decades of fan frustration, the Farrelly brothers had a happy ending to their movie about an obsessive and long-suffering Red Sox fan. The fan (Jimmy Fallon) is so devoted to his home team that he can't commit to anything else. Drew Barrymore plays the woman who has to compete with the Red Sox for her boyfriend's affection. (PG-13)

"Sahara": Matthew McConaughey plays an adventurer hunting down the treasure of a lost Civil War ship in the deserts of North Africa. Penelope Cruz and Steve Zahn co-star. (PG-13)
