Movies opening this week:
Opening Thursday"Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous": When we last saw Sandra Bullock's slob-turned-sophisticate Gracie Hart, the federal agent was reveling in both professional and personal success. Fast-forward 10 months. "Because of her notoriety from the pageant," director John Pasquin said, "she's been unable to carry out her real duties and is now a poster girl for the FBI," working the talk-show circuit and promoting her book. But when a couple of her pageant friends are kidnapped in Las Vegas, she tries to work undercover as a showgirl, while the agency fears she may not be up to the job anymore. Regina King co-stars as Hart's reluctant bodyguard. (PG-13)
Opening Friday"Guess Who": Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mac join forces in this comedic adaptation of the 1967 interracial drama that originally starred Spencer Tracy and Sidney Poitier. In this update, the roles are reversed, with Kutcher playing the white boyfriend who wants to marry the daughter of Mac's overprotective father.
