The City Council is scheduled to unveil today a new online system that Council Chairman Donovan Dela Cruz said would make public documents more accessible.

Previously, the text and status of bills and resolutions before the Council were accessible online, as were Council and committee agendas. Now the Council is making all communications it receives and sends available online through its "Docushare" program.

"Upgrading our electronic filing system will make it more accessible to the general public and improve efficiency and reduce dependence upon paper copies," Dela Cruz said.
