The Salvation Army is encouraging people to stop by Wal-Mart on Keeaumoku Street on Saturday to drop off donations for South Asian tsunami relief efforts.
Youth groups from the Kauluwela Mission Corps will collect funds in the Salvation Army red kettles from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Salvation Army staff in Indonesia, India and Sri Lanka is assisting with food, clean water, shelter and medical assistance and supplies, as well as accommodations for orphaned children.
Donations may also be made by phone at (800) SALARMY or online at www.salvationarmy.org, or via check to any Salvation Army office. Contributions for tsunami efforts should be labeled, "South Asia Relief Fund."
