Taryn Reyes, 5, of Tamali'i in Hayward, Calif., smiled as cousin Nicole Kapu and mother Zenaida Reyes secured plumerias in her hair on Wednesday. Taryn and hundreds of other Tahitian dancers are competing in the Third Annual Tahiti Nui Internation Heiva I Honolulu dance competition through tomorrow at the Waikiki Shell. The event starts at 3 p.m. today and at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Tickets are $16 for general admission, $13 for lawn seating and $10 for children.
