Brekke is Director of Creative TV Projects at Oceanic, Liu is the manager of the Print Projects division. TWO LEGENDS MEET: k.d. lang talked backstage with "Uncle Tom" Moffatt after her superb 1-hour 20 minute concert at the Waikiki Shell on Monday. It was the final show in lang's yearlong tour and her first performance in Hawaii. She included several songs from her current album, "Hymns of the 49th Parallel," a salute to Canadian song writers, and got a big laugh when she told the crowd that she was changing the traditional Hawaiian greeting to a Canadian-style "Aloha, eh?" lang's versions of standards by Roy Orbison and Patsy Cline were two highlights among many great selections. Her dancing and dry wit added other facets to the show. A comment about "getting used to wearing a dress" brought down the house.

BACK FROM PRAGUE: Russell Tanoue, second from left, and Juliet Lighter, left, welcomed award-winning stuntman Tanoai Reed, fourth from left, his wife, Suzanne, center, and stuntman Darin Fujimori to his monthly Piranha Room party at the Ocean Club on Saturday. Reed, who gave up a football scholarship to pursue his dream of becoming a stuntman, was a two-time winner at the World Stunt Awards in 2004. He recently completed work as The Rock's stunt double in "Doom," a film based on the video game, in Prague, Czech Republic. Tanoue could have used a stunt double of his own recently. He got badly banged up during a test drive on a moped and had his arm in a sling when hosting his monthly charity fund-raiser .

THE O LOUNGE GOES "CABARET": Roni Yurong talked with April Stoltz, left, and Sherry Chock Wong between shows by the Powder Puff Girls at the O Lounge on Saturday. Yurong and his Artist Groove Network team is producing the weekly cabaret-themed event, and bartender Stoltz dressed accordingly. Wong is one of the featured "girls" in the show. "All That Jazz" was her big number on Saturday. Veteran musicians Dave Toma and Wendell Ching add live drums and guitar to pre-recorded tracks. All things considered, the show has potential.
