Carmelito Flojo Arkangel, 86, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired industrial relations director for the former Puna Sugar Co. and lieutenant colonel and commander of Company B, 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, U.S. Army Reserve, died at home. He also was a 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment combat veteran during World War II and Keaau Agricultural Land Corp. president. He was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines. He is survived by sons Dr. Carmelito Jr., Robert, Anos, Vincent and Dominic; daughter Dr. Suzanne C.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. Saturday at Puna Congregational Church in Keaau. Call after 6 p.m. tomorrow and 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
