LADIES LOVE CHOCOLATE: Kaleihikini Akaka, left, and Suyin Phillips enjoyed the complimentary chocolate fountain at Thursday's grand opening of the Stone Groove Family's "Bitchen' Kitchen" party at Sam Choy's in Kapahulu. Blueberries, banana slices and cookies were some of the delicacies available for dipping. Akaka's belt had a reggae theme: green and red ribbons with a gold Chanel belt.

IT'S OK, HE'S HER COUSIN!: Jake Shimabukuro, left, met Donna Chun and Ryan Leong in the "Bitchen' Kitchen" reserved area near the kitchen. Friends wondered if Chun and Leong were "an item," but no, he's her cousin. Really! Leong is home for a visit before returning to the American Embassy in Belgrade. Shimabukuro was out on the town alone because his manager is on vacation.

It was two days before Sanchez's birthday, but the celebration had already started. Sanchez was dressed to kill in a black skirt, black-and-white frogged top and long silver earrings.

MEET THE "CHEFS": Stone Groove Family members DJ Gary O, left, and G-Dog surveyed the action at their first "Bitchen' Kitchen" party and got input from Kawika Kanae, center, Big Dave and Sophia Makaimoku. The party worked out well for a relatively small space. One room for dancing, another for chilling and three bars.
