Punahou earns top seedDespite having a worse record than three Oahu Interscholastic Association teams, the two-time defending state champion Punahou Buffanblu earned the top seed at this week's Meadow Gold Dairies Girls Soccer State Championship, which begins Wednesday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park. Aiea, which has a 12-1-1 record, is the two seed, with Baldwin and Hilo rounding out the four seeded teams. In first-round matches that are all at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Kapaa will face Pearl City, Mililani will take on King Kekaulike, Konawaena and Kailua will tangle, and Moanalua will do battle with Kealakehe.
